Holiday Craft Bazaar
November 28th, 2009 - Black River Landing Transportation Center
The Fifth Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 28th from 3pm - 7pm at the Black River Landing Transportation Center. This event is in conjunction with the Downtown Lorain Christmas Decorating Committee’s Light Up Lorain Celebration. Black River Nature Tours
Starting June 13th, 2009 - The Black River Landing Dock located near the International Flagpoles
The LORAIN PORT AUTHORITY in partnership with the LORAIN COUNTY METROPARKS announces the Black River Tours for the 2009 season.
Our shuttle boats embark Wednesdays and Thursdays in June, July and August at 6:30pm from the Black River Landing Dock. Lorain Port Authority staff and Lorain County MetroParks naturalists will provide information on wildlife, flora and fauna, and landmarks of interest during the cruises.
Friday evening cruises will also be running. No naturalist will be available.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure an on-time departure. Passengers must be at least 30 lbs to come on board.

Jet Express
Summer 2009
The Jet Express IV is slated to begin service from Black River Landing to the Lake Erie Islands August 25th 2009. Tickets are:
- $26 for adults and $5 for children from Lorain to Kelleys Island one-way
- $29 for adults and $6 for children from Lorain to Put-In-Bay one-way
- $64 for adults and $14 for children round-trip island-hopping; free for children ages 5 and younger and additional fees apply for bicycle rentals

A Taste of History
August 1st - Black River Landing
The Black River Historical Society will be hosting “ A Taste of History” from noon until 9 p.m. and will include “A Taste of History” will be “Antiques, Arts and Crafts Show on the River” and “Ohio Wine on the Water” wine tasting. Admission is free for the “Antiques, Arts and Crafts Show on the River.” A few vendor spaces are still available. New vendors are welcome. For more information please call 440-245-2563.

The American Cancer Society Lorain Relay for Life
July 25th, 2009 - Black River Landing
The American Cancer Society Lorain Relay for Life will begin at noon, ending on Sunday July 26, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Black River Landing in Lorain. Relay for Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society. The theme this year is Carnival. There will be food, music, games and much, much more!
The Relay for Life is open to the Public. Please attend and show your support for the fight against cancer.

We will depart from Riverside Park for regularly scheduled tours. During festivals, we'll depart from both Riverside Park and Black River Landing. Ticket holders should arrive 15 minutes early. Those who need to purchase tickets the day of, please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to check availability. Cash and checks are accepted.
